Going old school with Mentone Pre Mix
Hallam Truck Centre and Mentone Pre Mix have been long time partners – we’re coming up to almost 20 years! Through this long and successful partnership, over a dozen Kenworth Trucks have been handed over.
Ben and his dad, Gary, of Mentone Pre Mix collected their newest rig – a T360 Agi, “Hugo” affectionately named after the family dog, recently from Bob and our team.
This time around, the Mentone Pre Mix crew wanted to do something a bit different and nostalgic. So, this Kenworth T360 has the original livery of some of their earlier trucks with the thick green band around the cabin, and the old-style rain cap on the exhaust.
The “Angry Duck” was added to the hood, along with some scroll work and signwriting by Alan Larman. We think this is the coolest looking Agi getting around.
The barrel was supplied by A&A Di Medio and Sons, with forward, side and rear view cameras fitted by our talented team at Hallam Truck Centre. Fuel tank and extras were painted by Paul at Lockleys, with a drop visor by RC Metalcraft. Tanks, visor, and bar were clear wrapped by Street Appeal, and to top it all off, a full detail by Ando’s Detailing Services.
On behalf of Bob and our team, congratulations and thanks again to Ben, Gary, and the team at Mentone Pre Mix for your support of Hallam Truck Centre and Kenworth Trucks Australia.
The T360 – Best in the business
The tight turning circle and shorter BBC (a reduction of 100mm) measurements make the T360 the ultimate performer for urban and intrastate operations. With great manoeuvrability and visibility, easy cab access and short BBC, the T360 is an ideal choice for high capacity metropolitan applications.
The T360 is perfect when access is limited, excelling as it moves in and out of tight spaces and through traffic. An urban classic, the T3 series offers all the benefits of a Kenworth, including traditional hood styling, in a smaller package. Most importantly, the new T360 is lighter than its predecessor, offering customers greater productivity. Combined with enhanced steering geometry, which reduces the turning circle, owners have more flexibility with overall length and frame space.
The T360 is suitable for rigid or prime mover applications and the T360A, designed and engineered specifically for the concrete industry, is perfect for high volume urban concrete applications that command maximum productivity. Powered by a Cummins ISLe5 engine up to 400 hp, the T360 and T360A are available in 6×4, 8×4 and 10×4 configurations, and are available with a range of manual and automated transmissions.
As with all new models, the T360 development program left no stone unturned. Many enhancements resulted directly from customer consultation, while the testing phases involved countless hours of computer simulation, and thousands of kilometres of real world validation.
Make no mistake, the new T360 is a truck you’ll want to own, and your drivers will want to drive. It’s the best in the business for lower whole of life costs, short haul and intrastate applications.
