New Kenworth T610SAR delivery for Shandleys Transport
A big congratulations to Dave and the team down at Shandleys Transport who recently took delivery of this incredible T610SAR with 860mm sleeper from Josh Dilworth and our team! Check it out in the video below.
Established in 1960, Shandleys Transport has partnered with Hallam Truck Centre for over 30 years. Their fleet currently includes four K200s, a T401, a K108 and now two T610SARs, this one being the latest addition. These trucks are kept busy supplying bulk bedding for the poultry, dairy and equine industries, offering a quality range of products that can be used not only as animal bedding, but also for liquid waste and composting.
This new addition features stainless by RC Metalcraft and Ice Pack sleeper cooler. TV and microwave were fitted by the Hallam Truck Centre pre-delivery team and signwriting and scrolls were completed by Grant Fowler Signs.
To top it off, wash and detail done by Ando’s Detailing Services and doesn’t it look schmick!
We'd like to thank Dave and the Shandleys Transport team for their support of Hallam Truck Centre and Kenworth Trucks Australia. We look forward to working with you well into the future.
Kenworth T610SAR
The T610SAR with its classic Kenworth styling is as tough as it is durable, and the set forward front axle makes it an ideal workhorse for 19m B-Double, and tipper and dog applications.
It is one of the most aerodynamic and fuel efficient production trucks ever to carry the iconic Kenworth badge.
The T610SAR is powered by the Cummins X15 Euro 5 engine with Advanced Dynamic Efficient Powertrain (ADEPT) technology, a suite of electronic features that interact with Eaton automated manual transmissions, dynamically adapting to operating conditions to enhance fuel economy with no impact on productivity.
When it comes to the interior, the driver is the key to its design. The cab of the T610SAR is significantly wider than Kenworth’s traditional cabs, offering increased walkthrough space between the seats, greater room head-to-toe, more standing room in the sleeper cabs and additional storage - all of it positioned for maximum convenience.
Available in a range of colours, the cab interior features high quality plush upholstery in the traditional studded pattern. And to suit your needs, the T610SAR is available with a day cab, or your choice of four sleeper cabs, a 600mm Aero, 760mm Mid-Roof, 860mm Aero or 1400mm Aero sleeper. All sleeper cabs come with a wrap-around privacy curtain to make full use of the cab during rest periods.
For Kenworth Trucks Australia, protecting the driver, vehicle, payload, and other road users against unexpected hazards has always been a paramount consideration. Safety is built into every truck, including the T610SAR through Application Engineering, a design approach that also delivers optimal payloads, reliability and productivity.
Aside from providing the optimal drivers’ environment to aid with vehicle control, Kenworth interiors combine classic Kenworth styling with the highest standards of cab ergonomics and safety. The wrap-around dash provides an unobstructed view of gauges and easy access to vital switches and controls. Smart Wheel fingertip access for engine brake and cruise functions deliver further driver confidence, comfort and control.
Kenworth Electronic Brake Safety Systems (EBSS) further enhance vehicle control and accident avoidance, with a comprehensive list of options available. These include integrated active safety systems, incorporating Active Cruise Control with Braking, Collision Mitigation with Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Warning.
Optional items to even further safeguard driver well-being include:
- High visibility grab handles and seat belts
- Enhanced illumination of step and landing areas, increasing visibility
- Ground based fluid check.
