Recently we completed our showroom and customer area renovations at our Bayswater Truck Centre site, which greatly improve both customer and staff amenities.
The outcome is very pleasing and we welcomed our valued customers to join us last week for a private event at the dealership, to check out the new drivers’ lounge, coffee bar and customer work stations, plus our new brake roller tester. It’s the only one in the Bayswater area, is now in place and providing another customer value add.
Although we happened to select the same night as the opening AFL game for the year (and many of our Tiger supporting staff were happy with the result), we had a great turnout, and everyone really enjoyed the night.
Andrew Bramley and Karl Murray were ably assisted by their teams in converting our workshop, and truck handover bay into a warehouse-style event space where customers could gather, mingle, drink and feast on the delicious food going around from Sliders on Tyres.
The offer of cold beers and drinks, nice food and a range of suppliers normally generates a great crowd and we were pleased to welcome approximately 90 people on the night. As part of this we’d like to thank our suppliers for their support on the night including; Kenworth and DAF, PACCAR Parts, Cummins, Castrol, Meritor, DANA, Fleetguard and Norman G Clark with their Horton range.
We were lucky to have a few other surprises for those who attended on the night; a sneak peek display of the brand-new Kenworth T360 and T410 models, an Audi R8 race car and B-Double transporter courtesy of Simon and Ryan How and Troy Russell from Audi Sport Customer Racing. Ryan is only 17 and has been driving / racing only for a few years but has performed well in each class and is progressing through the ranks. We took the opportunity to support Ryan with some sponsorship to assist his quest for success at the Melbourne F1 GP race and he certainly delivered with a class the GT Trophy Class – well done Ryan! Ryan and his father Simon did a great job with the livery on the car as shown in the photos.
The Audi team is based at Melbourne Performance Centre in Croydon South and the pristine facility is worth a look for the race vehicles but also the workshop and automotive Dyno. Troy operates several trucks, mainly Kenworth’s and we appreciate his business as a customer also.
On the night we ran a demonstration of our new Brake Roller Tester for those interested. With Chain of Responsibility (COR) Legislative impacts now in play, quite a few customers could see the merit in regular testing and reports. We operate on a per vehicle charge basis with a detailed PASS / FAIL report being retained on file within our system and provided to vehicle owners. Andrew and his team would be happy to demonstrate the benefits for trucks and trailers so don’t hesitate to give him a call!
We will keep you posted on future events at Hallam and Bayswater Truck Centres. With several exciting model launches from Kenworth and DAF imminent, I’m sure we will take the opportunity to gather our friendly customers for another great night and some relevant information. Thanks for your interest and of course, your attendance on the night at Bayswater.
