Safety by Design
Kenworth’s commitment to ongoing research, design and engineering capability demonstrates its flexibility in adapting new technologies as they become available. Kenworth tests numerous advancements in order to introduce the best innovations and improvements in safety, environmental performance and productivity.
New safety features are constantly being developed and become available after extensive testing in Australian conditions to meet Kenworth’s high standards of reliability and durability.
Kenworth currently has two new prime movers, a new T610 and a new T610SAR, with new safety features visiting all dealers in Australia.
We were very fortunate to have Brett Medlin from Knorr-Bremse and Anthony Spence-Fletcher from PACCAR attend our dealership to demonstrate the latest safety innovations available with Kenworth Trucks.
Our sales staff experienced training for a day with ACB active cruise braking, ESP electronic stability program, CMS collision mitigation system, LDW lane departure warning, Bendix Wingman Fusion, which included the opportunity to drive the trucks and experience these features first hand.
Customers are also lucky to take the opportunity to attend the drive experience, where they are able to get behind the wheel and experience what the new T610 and T610SAR have to offer. In addition, they are able to experience the Cummins ADEPT program.
To cap off the introduction to these new safety innovations, customers were invited to attend our dealership for a product information evening which concentrated on the benefits of these safety features and explained how they operate. We had a fantastic turn out, and thank you to everyone who attended!
