Rental Range Expansion
Our team have always been committed to supporting our customers in delivering on their promises. That’s why when the opportunity arose to be a part of the PacLease Truck Rental & Leasing brand a few years ago, we jumped at the chance as it meant we could offer an even wider range of solutions to the transport industry.
In late 2016, we officially become the first Australian franchise dealer to launch PacLease Truck Rental & Leasing. This enabled us to assist customers who were needing a solution when they were experiencing a spike in demand, a new contract, awaiting the delivery of a new truck or simply needing to stay on the road while repair and maintenance work was being undertaken on their vehicle.
Our truck rental and leasing venture took off with only three trucks in the fleet, first hired out to valued customers ERH and Glen Cameron Group in December 2016, to support their high-demand periods with the delivery of refrigerated goods and general freight.
With such flexible arrangements and successful first hires came quite the spike in demand. Our new rental and leasing division quickly became very busy, and we quickly saw the need to grow the fleet available for hire, and fit trucks with hydraulics to accommodate an even wider range of work like road profiling, construction and other Victorian infrastructure projects.
The growth we’ve seen in the last four years has been incredible, with our current fleet of 20 trucks expected to increase to 25 before the end of this year! Each of our prime movers have been specified for extreme flexibility, offering several cab variants, horsepower and GCM ratings.
The Kenworth T409 with a 28” sleeper is a popular choice amongst our customers, one of whom described it as “a versatile and comfortable truck with great fuel economy and a smooth and quiet engine.” As a 510hp truck, the T409 is B-Double capable, fuel and gas haul compliant, has multi-purpose hydraulics and is well suited to a wide variety of applications. Customers wanting more horsepower take advantage of our T610, T610SAR and K200 550 HP trucks.
“Mark at Hallam Truck Centre made it really easy for us to keep our business moving. With one of our trucks involved in an accident, it was imperative that the work we were hired for carried out in a timely manner as promised to our client. With our truck out of action getting repaired we needed a quick solution and we needed hydraulics. We were offered a T610SAR fitted with hydraulics that suited our business and he customised a rental agreement that gave us great flexibility and value for money. The PacLease team at Hallam Truck Centre very quickly accommodated us, our customer was happy, we were happy,” said one of our more recent customers.
In these uncertain and unpredictable times, it has never been more important to offer flexible solutions for road transport operators. Recently we have seen a spike in the need for truck rentals, offering short to mid-term relief which reduces the need for customers to purchase new trucks. With an increased demand for food in our local supermarkets and in turn, refrigerated freight and general freight transport, we have been able to proudly support our customers in delivering on their promises and tackle the recent influx with our custom truck rental solutions.
It’s our priority to keep you on the road, and that’s why you can always rely on our PacLease team to bring you customised solutions, now and well into the future.
