Evans Petroleum grows fleet with DAF, Kenworth deliveries
The Hallam Truck Centre team pride themselves on building long lasting relationships with our customers and are dedicated to ensuring that our support doesn’t end after we hand the keys over.
In 2024, our team worked with long time customer, Stuart and Warren Evans from Evans Petroleum, to find the right trucks for their requirements and we were proud to hand over the keys to not one, but four new trucks - two Kenworth T610SARs, a Kenworth T610, and a DAF CF450 FAD.
Stuart’s journey with Hallam Truck Centre began way back in 1999, when he purchased his first truck – a Kenworth T401 Rigid and Dog Trailer Fuel Tanker. Since then, Stuart has remained a loyal customer to Hallam Truck Centre, a relationship that has spanned over 25 years.
"From day one, Stuart has been an integral part of the Hallam Truck Centre family. When he walks through our doors, he’s greeted like one of our own, always with a warm welcome and a cup of tea,” said Daniel O’Hara, Hallam Truck Centre Sales Consultant.
In the lead up to this epic delivery, Daniel and fellow Sales Consultant, Jordan Marruso, worked hand in hand with Stuart, guiding him through every step of the process.
From placing the initial order with the Kenworth and DAF factory in Bayswater to the final delivery of these trucks, their dedicated collaboration ensured that every detail was perfected.
Each of these trucks have been fully customised and ordered to different lengths and customisations so they can each perform their specific requirements, towing a range of Holmwood Highgate tankers.
The two Kenworth T610SARs will be transporting fuel on an intrastate scale and are equipped with Cummins X15 engines delivering 550HP, paired with Eaton Fuller transmissions. They also feature JOST turntables, stainless steel components installed by Longhaul, auto-greasing systems by Groeneveld and ACME modifications for handling dangerous goods.
The Kenworth T610 with 2.1m integrated sleeper will operate both locally and interstate, predominantly making trips from Melbourne’s metro terminals to Gippsland and other areas within the northern region of Victoria. This beauty comes with the powerful Cummins X15 engine at 550HP, Eaton Fuller transmission, DANA axles, and brakes. Also equipped with a JOST turntable, and a Coolibah and heater system installed by AAA Cooling.
The DAF CF450FAD Euro 6, featuring a spacious Space Cab, is equipped with the PACCAR MX engine and transmission, along with a custom body by Holmwood, a unique walk plate from NRG, and a chassis modification by TMA.
“We’ve run these trucks beforehand, and we’ve been very happy with them, so we’ve continued using them,” Suart said. “And our drivers have switched trucks before, but we’ve found that providing them with a sense of familiarity is a big help in making deliveries.”
Our relationship with Evans Petroleum doesn’t stop with just truck sales - Stuart is a dedicated and proactive owner who consistently brings his trucks in for regular servicing.
He understands the importance of maintaining his fleet to the highest standards, ensuring that each vehicle remains in optimal condition for the road.
Whether it's routine maintenance or more extensive repairs, Stuart relies on the expertise of the service team at Hallam Truck Centre to keep his trucks running smoothly and efficiently, minimising downtime and maximising their performance and longevity.
His commitment to regular servicing reflects his dedication to the quality and reliability of his fleet.
When it comes to why Suart chooses to partner with our team, it's thanks to our customer service and expertise.
“They’ve been great,” Stuart said.
“We order all our vehicles through them, and they offer great service. We’re always happy with the product and the great after-sales service they provide. There’s never any trouble.”
Congratulations to Stuart, Warren and the team at Evans Petroleum, and thank you for your continued support of Hallam Truck Centre, Kenworth Australia and DAF Trucks Australia. We look forward to working with you well in the future.
